SINGER, SONGWRITER, VOCAL TEACHER, BA, JAZZ PERF.

Geon was born in Limassol, Cyprus, in 1988. He began singing at a young age and subsequently started writing his own songs and learning the guitar.

 

He graduated in 2011 with a BA Music Performance degree - Jazz Vocals from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, U.K. His dissertation topic was on Music Therapy & Autism, over the course of which he had the opportunity to observe music therapy professor Dr Amelia Oldfield helping autistic children in Cambridge.

 

He has performed live on TV at RIK, Cyprus’ national broadcasting channel, both as a soloist and with his band. Among other varied activities, he has participated in the Ayia Napa Youth Festival, the Flying Away Festival, Limassol Acoustic Festival, and Reggae Sunjam Festival. He has also performed live at all major music stages in Cyprus, as well as at “The Ritz” in Manchester U.K., during a 2014 tour. Notably, Geon was selected by Giorgos Theophanous as one of the 20 final vocalists for the "Music Project - Giorgos Theophanous."

 

He continues to perform as a solo artist in Limassol, his hometown, along with his guitar on different kind of music stages and he is the lead singer of Mr Wilson Funk-Reggae band. Meanwhile, he works as a vocal teacher at School of Music Kyriakides.

 

Geon has recorded his first single,“Tonight”, and in addition to other recording projects he has recently released his second single, the original theme song for the “Romanov Royal Martyrs” project, "July Winter Tears". A music video has been also released, featuring Romanov newsreel footage, coloured pictures.
