I finally got back to and finished your book just before all this virus stuff happened. The part that stuck with me was the family's Faithfulness, even where the end of their lives was spent locked up in a house. At the end, in the rooms they lived in: their windows were maliciously nailed shut and painted-over white on the outside, and they were surrounded everywhere by hateful guards with bad intentions. They couldn't go to Church but continued to pray and/or sing (often as a family). I think only once or twice, in Ipatiev, they were allowed a Priest to serve Typika. They had the house 'quarantine' thing in the extreme.
Now with this virus, we are stuck in our houses--in different areas, with limited movement outside allowed-- together with people who are going through stressful trials (or alone). We are being put in circumstances we are not accustomed to, though not as extreme as the Martyrs'. We can't go to Church, but are praying the Typika (alone or with family, or watching services online). May the Royal Martyrs pray for us, especially for our patience and faithfulness, and for kindness to each other (honestly, I need it ;) ).
