This book offers yet another view of the Romanovs, their personalities, decisions and influence in Russian history. This is a book written by deeply religious Orthodox Christians about other deeply religious Orthodox Christians and the faith and its importance for the last Imperial family. It does make one consider those events from a perspective rarely explored by historians and I loved it. This book is simply beautiful. Furthermore, it is richly illustrated with a bunch of pictures that help to put a face to the names of the members of this admirable family described in the book.
